Primus provides 100Mbps inter-capital route.
Payments processor Transaction Network Services has upgraded the fibre link between its Sydney and Brisbane offices in order to meet employee requirements.

The company, which also uses Equinix's International Business Exchange in Sydney for local payment processing, handles EFTPOS and e-commerce transaction and payment security for several Australian clients including Westfield, Target and Tabcorp.

Transaction Network Services has signed on to Primus' recently upgraded Metro Fibre Service to gain 100Mbps connectivity between the offices, which require "sizeable bandwidth" according to TNS' procurement manager, John Nisbet.

"Our ability to respond to their requirements means scalability is paramount," he said.

The US-based TNS handles billions of transactions annually around the world.

TNS is the latest customer win for Primus' fibre links, upgraded from last year as part of a multi-million dollar capital program to gain a larger foothold in the business sector.
