Motorola may prohibit sales of iPhone and iPad

It seems that after the latest defeat in an epic battle with Apple Samsung, when American and Australian courts have refused to ban sales of smartphones and Tablet South Korean brand Galaxy, the Cupertino-based company may suffer a very sensitive and failed in its patent dispute with Motorola Mobility. In any case, this well-known supplier of mobile devices has won over Apple's initial court hearing in Germany, which theoretically gives Motorola Mobility banned from selling the iPhone and iPad models with 3G support throughout the EU.

A German court found a violation of these Apple devices patent owned Motorola Mobility and pertaining to the GPRS service, working with data that is used in cellular networks. In this case, according to the company from Cupertino, technology described in this patent is an integral part of GPRS and so it must be licensed by the standards of FRAND, ensuring fair competition between manufacturers.

The court, however, as we see, in this case took the direction Motorola Mobility, and, in its ruling referred to all iPhone models except iPhone 4S, which debuted after the commencement of the proceedings. However, the court's decision applies to the latest model of "apple" smartphone, and how to modify iPad, and iPad 2 with 3G connection. In the Motorola Mobility, of course, quite pleased with adjudication, while Apple is preparing to appeal against it, and declares that the possible restrictive measures will not affect the sale of the company before the holidays.
