Future iPhone and the iPad will be able to distinguish users by their faces

According to information contained in the recently published United States Patent Office (USPatent and Trademark Office) regular patent application, Apple, in Cupertino company from speculating on the new system user authorization for its handheld devices, which will be based on face recognition technology. In the documentation, entitled "Low Threshold Face Recognition" (ie, "Face recognition with a low threshold of action"), describes the system identification through integrated front camera, which allows multiple users to take turns working with the same device without interfering with each other.

Such a system can automatically identify a user, for example, tablet iPad, and offer him a separate profile with individual settings, and applications that need it the man. Naturally, when the user changes the system will offer a different profile with different parameters, but the very recognition will be based on the characteristic facial features, including, for example, eyes, mouth and nose, the distance between them and the comparison with the previously loaded reference image and give an answer in whose hands the device. Incidentally, such a system may well improve the safety and storage of important data in the memory of gadgets, but when exactly it will be translated into reality, it is unclear, given that the patent application was first filed by Apple in June 2010.
