MicroOLED microdisplay with a diagonal 0.61-inch implements 5.4 megapixel resolution

The French company MicroOLED, known as a manufacturer of miniature high-quality displays with high efficiency, officially unveiled its latest development in the form of microdisplays, which combines a diagonal screen resolution and 0.61-inch 5.4 million pixels. In the new technology uses organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), thereby providing high-quality images, and the microdisplay is designed for applications such as electronic viewfinders for professional cameras and camcorders, night vision systems and solutions used in surgery.
In this figure step subpixel in a new development equals MicroOLED 4.7 x 4.7 micrometers, which in combination with 5.4 megapixel resolution delivers the highest density of pixels in OLED-microdisplay that is available today. To achieve this result the French specialists needed to exclude the gaps between pixels, and the microdisplay with only 0.2 watts of power provides a high contrast ratio 100 000:1 and comes in both black and white version with a resolution of 2560 x 2048 pixels and a 1.3-megapixel variant displaying 16 million colors. On the "price issue" is not mentioned.
